This policy explains what data RentYacht-RAK collects when you use rentyacht-rak.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We run a deliberately privacy-light website: we use our own first-party analytics and no Google Analytics, advertising cookies, or third-party trackers.

Who we are

What we collect

• First-party usage analytics. We record basic, aggregated visit data on our own server — pages viewed, referrer, approximate device type and a coarse region — to understand how the site is used. This is collected by our own script, not by Google or any ad network, and it respects your browser's "Do Not Track" setting.
• Browser storage for preferences. We may store small functional values in your browser (localStorage) to remember choices such as a dismissed intro. These stay on your device and are not sent to advertisers.
• Booking enquiries. When you contact us by WhatsApp, email or phone, we receive the details you choose to send — typically your name, preferred date, group size and any special requests — so we can quote and arrange your charter.

What we do not do

We do not use Google Analytics, advertising or retargeting cookies, or third-party tracking pixels. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. We do not collect payment card details on this website — bookings are confirmed directly with our team.

How we use your data

• To operate, secure and improve the website.
• To respond to your enquiries and arrange and deliver your yacht charter.
• To keep basic records of bookings and communications for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations.

Messaging and third-party links

When you message us on WhatsApp, that conversation is handled through WhatsApp (Meta) under their own terms and privacy policy. Our site also links to external websites (for example tourism and resort pages); those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.

Data retention

Aggregated analytics logs are kept only for a limited period and are not tied to your identity. Booking-related messages are kept for as long as needed to serve you and to meet any legal or accounting requirements, then deleted.

Your choices and rights

• You can enable "Do Not Track" in your browser; we honour it for analytics.
• You can clear your browser storage at any time to remove locally saved preferences.
• You can ask us what booking information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing info@rentyacht-rak.com.

Children

This website is intended for adults booking or researching charters. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
